This 1980’s 2 bed 2 bath home was extensively updated to bring it into the 21st century! Typical 80’s layout meant the original kitchen was cut off from the main living area. We totally opened up the wall between the den and kitchen which gives it a modern flow and makes the home seem significantly larger.
The original entryway was very uninspiring, and had a small unusable closet (on the right). We installed a new solid mahogany door, stained in dark ‘mission oak’ with a satin finish. The old closet was removed and converted to a display niche with LED lighting, plus a new recessed LED over the door entry.
This same camera angle clearly shows by removing the old tall pantry units we were able to enlarge the space allowing for more base cabinets and a special microwave cabinet. Note the ‘stacked stone’ backsplash throughout.
The new cabinets have solid wood fronts with soft closing doors and drawers. A new Viking 36″ gas range is the central feature in this wonderful kitchen. Note the new stainless extractor vent hood with halogen lights. The new undermount stainless steel sink features a touch-control ‘Delta’ faucet. and soap dispenser.
These ‘after’ photos show the new pantry units on the left, and the wonderful open view to the den on the right. Original laminate floors were replaced throughout the house with handscraped Italian hardwoods, and all new baseboards.
