Storage cabinets were removed from divider between den and kitchen. “After” picture above shows the old “island” reinstalled with new granite counter and tumbled marble backsplash, together with new granite breakfast bar. New gas cooktop and vegetable sink installed with oil rubbed bronze swan-type faucet.
This was the large island and cooktop “before” which occupied too much floor space. The “after” picture shows the island gone, and new chiseled-edge travertine installed throughout the kitchen. All existing cabinets were refinished in white with a “distressed tea-stain” faux finish.
The original kitchen floor was 3/8″ hardwoods which were all removed and replaced with chiseled-edge travertine with antique white grout.
