Project Overview
The transformation began with opening up walls to create a more spacious and connected layout. This major structural change not only enhanced the flow of the home but also allowed for more natural light to fill the rooms, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We installed new hardwood floors throughout the home, providing a cohesive and elegant foundation for the updated interior.
One of the standout features of this remodel is the custom cabinetry. Our team specially fabricated and stained these cabinets to meet the client’s specific tastes and storage needs. The custom cabinets are not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly functional, offering ample storage space while seamlessly blending with the overall design of the home.
Kitchen Transformation
The kitchen underwent a dramatic makeover, starting with the removal of the original laminate counters. We replaced them with luxurious 3cm “Uba Tuba” granite, known for its rich, dark tones and durability. This stunning countertop choice set the stage for the rest of the kitchen upgrades.
We constructed new kitchen base cabinets and a new bar area, complete with a custom backsplash and granite surfaces. The bar area now serves as a perfect spot for entertaining guests or enjoying casual meals. Additionally, we installed a new tumbled marble backsplash with bronze accents, adding a touch of sophistication and texture to the space.
All kitchen surfaces were resprayed with a white oil-based semigloss, giving the entire area a fresh and clean look. To enhance functionality and ambiance, we added new under-cabinet lights and 4” LED recessed ceiling lights. The kitchen now not only looks stunning but also offers improved visibility and energy efficiency.
Living and Dining Room Enhancements
In the living and dining areas, we removed the outdated paneling and installed new sheetrock with a textured finish, providing a modern and refined look. The built-ins and pass-throughs were opened up into the kitchen space, creating a more integrated and open layout that encourages interaction and connection.
The fireplace and parquet flooring were updated, adding to the cohesive and contemporary feel of the home. We also widened the walls in the dining and formal living areas, further enhancing the open-concept design and making these spaces feel larger and more inviting.
Entryway and Custom Doors
The entryway received a significant upgrade as well. We removed the old tile and replaced it with new hardwood flooring, creating a seamless transition from the entrance into the rest of the home. Finally, we replaced the original front doors with custom iron double doors featuring a Texas star. These doors not only provide a grand entrance but also reflect the homeowners’ pride in their Texas roots.
