We modernized this entire 3 storey townhome in Uptown Dallas – although it was in very good condition the owners wanted to change the style from Traditional to Contemporary. We started with the kitchen removing the existing black granite and upgrading to a premium ‘Arctic White’ quartz and dark gray glass backsplash. The undercabinet lights were upgraded to cool white LED strips. All walls were painted a light gray and floors refinished.
The master bathroom had a tub and separate shower which were demolished. A new walk-in double shower with 2 gorgeous stainless massage panels was constructed. Note the glass panels are 9′ high reaching from floor to ceiling !! The tile is 12×24 gray porcelain on the walls, and 2×2 anthracite mosaic on the shower base.
The master vanity cabinets were retained, and new white quartz counters with new hardware replaced the old black granite. New contemporary mirrors and lights complete this elegant bathroom
The home featured metal rail banisters which were badly painted in silver. We stripped and resprayed with a dark gray satin enamel. We also replaced carpet on the stairs and upper floor with new hardwoods.
This shows the original guest bathroom which was completed gutted and rebuilt similar to the master bathroom. New Kohler toilets replaced the old ones throughout the home.
The guest bathroom also features a new ‘floating vanity’ with modern sink and faucet.
And finally, the entryway was completely updated with new tile flooring, and an 8′ x 36″ contemporary sliding ‘barn door’ for the bedroom. The door is solid maple and sprayed with an oil based satin enamel, and has slimlite opaque glass panels, with stainless steel door hardware.
