The shower was small and enclosed, while the tub was a large, seldom-used fixture that took up unnecessary space.
Our goal was to reimagine the space completely—taking full advantage of the bathroom’s existing footprint while upgrading every feature to meet modern standards of both luxury and functionality.
One major challenge we faced during this project was maximizing the functionality of the space. The client wanted to replace the bulky tub and outdated shower with something more innovative and personalized. At the same time, we had to account for the client’s specific height needs—he stands at 6’7”, and a standard vanity height would not be comfortable for him in the long term. These unique requirements set the stage for one of our most rewarding projects.
The Solution: A Spacious, Custom Double Walk-In Shower
To address the shower and tub issue, we decided to utilize the entire existing footprint of both the tub and shower. By combining these areas, we created a humongous double walk-in shower with no doors and a center entrance, giving the bathroom a sleek, modern look. The open design of the shower enhances the sense of space, making the bathroom feel significantly larger.
We installed two body shower systems, offering the ultimate luxury shower experience. These multi-head systems ensure full-body coverage and can be individually controlled, allowing for a completely customizable shower experience. The absence of doors creates a minimalist aesthetic while also making the space easier to maintain.
This massive walk-in shower is now the focal point of the bathroom, transforming what was once a cramped and uninspiring space into a spa-like retreat.
Customized Vanities for Unique Needs
Another standout feature of this remodel was the custom vanities. The client’s height presented a unique challenge, as standard vanities would not be ergonomically suitable. To accommodate his height of 6’7”, we raised the right-side vanity by an additional 10 inches. This adjustment ensures comfort and ease of use for the client, allowing him to get ready without stooping or straining—a small detail that significantly enhances his daily routine.
The vanities themselves are from J&K Cabinetry, known for their quality craftsmanship and customizable options. We topped them with custom granite countertops, chosen not just for their durability, but for the elegance they add to the space. These vanities offer ample storage while contributing to the bathroom’s clean, modern aesthetic.
