Probably one of the most complex construction projects we have ever done, this massive kitchen/den remodel involved demolishing the old kitchen and removing a 24 ft. supporting wall. The engineering involved removing the existing wall studs between the den and kitchen and, simultaneously, supporting both ceilings with temporary walls so we could remove the old beams. By cutting all the ceiling joists, we were able to install 2 x 26 ft. engineered 2×12 LVL high-tensile beams above the ceiling! This resulted in the final ceiling being all on one level and flowing beautifully between the two rooms. We created a new, extended breakfast bar that seats 7-8, all new J&K white maple cabinets, and stunning White Calaccata Supreme custom 3cm quartz counters. We added a modern ‘zero radius’ under mount sink with accessories. New 4” LED recessed lights were added along with LED undercabinet lights. The hardwood floors were patched and re-stained to match. The advantage of this was to give the ceilings a completely invisible transition. A brand new stylish, and functional kitchen was designed and installed by our talented crew. A sliding barn door entry and new cabinets were also added to the adjacent laundry room. New patio doors and flooring were also installed in the sunroom.
