This 1990’s house was dramatically transformed into a modern contemporary home with all the latest designs and materials, reflecting the homeowners’ vision and our commitment to excellence.
Master Bathroom: A High-Tech Oasis
The master bathroom is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and luxurious materials. We replaced the cultured white marble tub and vanities with sleek dark ‘Anthracite’ porcelain tile and white glass accents, creating a striking contrast. The centerpiece of this remodel is the new drop-in Jacuzzi tub, complemented by a stainless Roman faucet that adds a touch of sophistication. The brushed stainless body shower system brings a high-tech feel, making every shower a spa-like experience.
New solid ‘Espresso’ wood cabinets and drawers with modern post-type nickel cabinet pulls replaced the existing vanities. The countertops are custom ‘White River’ 3cm granite, featuring rectangular white porcelain sinks and waterfall-type brushed nickel faucets. The mirror was retained but mounted 2″ proud of the wall, with concealed LED string lighting installed behind it for a mesmerizing glow effect.
Kitchen: From Functional to Fabulous
In the kitchen, we achieved an elegant, high-end look that meets the demands of modern living. The cabinets were restained in a rich ‘Ebony’ color with a polyurethane finish, and the countertops were updated to custom ‘White River’ granite. An undermount sink was installed, along with a stunning frosted white glass subway tile backsplash that adds a touch of contemporary flair. The kitchen now features state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances, and the floor was replaced with beautiful travertine, giving the space a timeless appeal.
Den: Modern Comfort
The transformation of the den was significant and practical. We raised the original sunken floor by 4″ with reinforced concrete, eliminating the dated style and creating a more cohesive living space. New 18×18 ‘Portofino’ travertine tile was laid throughout, and the fireplace mantle, previously black marble, was replaced with rough stone for a more rustic and inviting look. Custom built-in bookshelves were added, and the outdated recessed ceiling lights were updated with 12W white LED floods, significantly enhancing the room’s ambiance.
Guest Bathroom: Subtle Elegance
The guest bathroom received a complete makeover, starting with the removal of the old wallpaper and retexturing of the walls. We updated the vanity with a new granite top and undermount sink, installed a new chair-height toilet, and laid a beautiful travertine floor. These changes brought a touch of elegance and modernity to the space, making it welcoming for guests.
Powder Room: Compact Luxury
In the powder room, we replaced the old fixtures with new, luxurious elements. A new granite vanity top and glass vessel sink were installed, accompanied by a simple tumbled marble backsplash. A large framed mirror and an LED vanity light were added, enhancing the room’s brightness and style. We also installed a new Kohler elongated toilet, completing the compact but luxurious update.
