A Grand Home Entrance

The journey of transformation began at the entrance. A brand-new mahogany front door set the stage for what was to come. As you step inside, you’re greeted by a massive den with a cozy fireplace. The once-dated wood paneling was given a fresh and timeless look with a satin finish enamel. The built-ins and beams were artfully restained in a rich ‘mission oak’ satin finish, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. To brighten the space, we added new 9W recessed LED lights and a stylish remote control fan. The transformation continued as we bid farewell to the pink carpet, replacing it with ‘Natural Acacia’ solid core hardwoods. The stunning refinished hutch completes this welcoming space, setting the tone for the rest of the home.

Illuminating the Home

Moving into the heart of the home, our focus shifted to the kitchen. We recognized the need for more natural light and a brighter, more open atmosphere. To achieve this, we repositioned the tall cabinets from the far end to the left wall, allowing the kitchen to breathe and let in more daylight. The addition of a new tumbled marble backsplash (3×6 subway) with a captivating center mosaic design injected a touch of elegance into the space. We also closed off the original door opening and created a new doorway in the center, ensuring ample daylight streamed in from the dining room window. New undercabinet lights were installed to accentuate the workspace, and all cabinets were restained, with new hinges and pulls providing a modern finish. A new gas line and a stainless steel GE Profile gas cooktop, paired with a sleek stainless extractor hood, became the centerpiece of this inviting kitchen.

Remodeling the Master Bathroom

The master bathroom underwent a complete transformation. We stripped it down to the studs, removing the sunken tub to create space for a stunning pedestal tub. One of the most significant changes was the installation of a 4′ x 4′ sash window, allowing you to enjoy the view of the beautiful backyard while relaxing in the tub. The vanities were relocated to widen the bathroom space and make room for new solid oak cabinets and drawers, finished with a white oil-based semigloss. The ‘Giallo Ornamental’ custom granite counters and undermount porcelain sinks add a touch of luxury. We introduced a completely new custom walk-in shower with glass that reaches up to the ceiling. The tile work, featuring 18×18 ‘Platillo Ivory’ with glass mosaic accents, creates a modern yet timeless look. The flooring, porcelain tile, replicates the appearance of hand-scraped hardwoods, giving the space a rustic elegance. The cast iron tub, weighing around 500 pounds, offers both beauty and durability.

Design and Quality in Every Detail

The powder room wasn’t overlooked in this remodel. It received a complete overhaul, with a new Victorian-style vanity and a fresh toilet. The floor was adorned with ‘Tuscan Storm’ travertine, adding a touch of old-world charm to this small but significant space.
