Entryway & Den Makeover
Stepping through the new mahogany front door, visitors are greeted by a grand entryway leading into a massive den. The den’s transformation included spraying the wood paneling with satin finish enamel and restaining the built-ins and beams in a rich ‘mission oak’ satin finish. To enhance the ambiance, we installed new 9W recessed LED lights and a remote control fan. The pink carpet was replaced with stunning ‘Natural Acacia’ solid core hardwoods, creating a warm and inviting space. A highlight of this area is the beautifully refinished hutch, adding a touch of elegance to the room.
Bright & Functional Kitchen Update
The kitchen, once dark and confined, now bathes in natural light. We removed the tall cabinets on the far wall and repositioned them on the left, adding a tumbled marble backsplash with a mosaic center design. By closing off the original door and creating a new central doorway, we allowed daylight to flood in from the dining room. The kitchen now features restained cabinets with new hinges and pulls, undercabinet lights, a stainless steel GE Profile gas cooktop, and a new stainless extractor hood. The result is a bright, modern kitchen perfect for family gatherings and culinary adventures.
Luxurious Master Bathroom Remodel
In the master bathroom, we started from scratch. The sunken tub was removed, and the floor was raised to install a new pedestal tub. We replaced the side windows with a 4’ x 4’ sash window to provide a stunning view of the backyard. To maximize space, the vanities were relocated, and new solid oak cabinets were installed, finished in a white oil-based semigloss. The countertops were upgraded to “Giallo Ornamental” granite, and a custom walk-in shower with a glass enclosure and ‘Platillo Ivory’ tile with mosaic accents was added. The bathroom floor, now covered in porcelain tile that mimics handscraped hardwoods, completes the luxurious feel.
Unique Breakfast Nook & Sunroom Enhancements
The breakfast nook’s ‘wagon wheel’ ceiling was refinished in dark oak satin, and the walls were retextured for a contemporary look. The sunroom, previously cramped, now boasts a raised ceiling, new cool-white recessed LED lights, and a warmer ambiance thanks to new sheetrock and texture. These changes have turned it into a bright, comfortable living space perfect for relaxation.
Dining Room & General Upgrades
We simplified the dining room by removing wall mirrors, paneling, drapes, and faux leaf wallpaper. The entire house’s popcorn ceiling texture was removed and retextured, enhancing the overall modern feel. Finally, new matching hardwoods and baseboards were installed throughout, bringing continuity and elegance to the entire home.
